Our Mission

The Hope Music Foundation is a non-profit organization. The mission is to promote music charity and music education within communities. The organization empowers children to use their musical talents to give back, bringing peace, hope, and joy to people's hearts.

Valuing youth leadership, the foundation also mentors and supports young individuals in organizing and leading these charitable initiatives. Its music charity activities include performances at senior homes, free music lessons, charity concerts, and festivals. Meanwhile, its music education programs offer opportunities for music learning, ensemble participation, mentorship, rehearsals, and master classes.

Through these activities, children not only develop their musical skills but also cultivate happiness, positivity, and strong character. Furthermore, long-term participation in this program can significantly strengthen students' college applications, showcasing their dedication to community service and the arts.

The San Diego Hope School of Music Students have won more awards than any other music schools in Rancho Bernardo. Students come from as far as Irvine to study at the San Diego Hope School of Music.

Instruments

 

We teach Violin, Viola, Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Ensemble, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone and Music Theory Lessons
1. Piano, Guitar, Voice, Singing, Flute, Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Ensemble, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone and Music Theory. We are equipped with top brand instruments in studios such as Boston/Steinway baby grand piano or 5 figure priced demo instruments for learning!

 

We are the only school in Rancho Bernardo that offers top brand baby grand pianos and other demo instruments that cost tens of thousands of dollars. Your ear can have a chance to be trained to inhabit the world class sound quality which is crucial to understand and appreciate classical music.
2. Most qualified teaching faculty in San Diego

 

We invest heavily on our 13 fabulous teachers for you. Besides the basic credential of college music degrees and professional experiences, we have the highest ratio of school faculties who graduated from the top 10 music conservatories and universities from the U.S and China with master degrees. To some extent, a doctor degree of music is not a surprise. With their supreme knowledge, masterful demo performance, and the love of music, you child can be inspired instantly. In addition to their supreme teaching credentials, our teachers CARE about you. They have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and are dedicated to teach you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson. 5. Free Big Brother & Sister Practice Tutor Program available!

 

Through years of music teachings, we found kids learn well and practice more with their friend or an older kid of a role model. We are the only school in San Diego creates and provides a FREE Big Brother or Sister Practice Tutor Program for assisting your kid to practice at your home or online with a first come first serve basis.
6. The Sound of Hope International Music Festival in conjunction with Hope Music Foundation.

 

Hope School of Music is the host of the none profit event of SOHIMF in conjunction of Hope Music Foundation. Cash awards and medals are given to the participants to encourage their music learning and performances. It is a great showcase and encouragement for kids to play music. It levels in a full scale, therefore it not only give the encouragement to the beginners but also promotes the talent truly represented the San Diego’s highest music performance standard.
7. 2 music recitals and other community service performances, master classes available throughout the year!

 

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in these events.
8. Music Teacher Association California merit certificate test prep available.

 

We provide the preparation for the students to take and pass the MTAC merit certificate test based on the students’ progress.
9. Trophies, certificates and awards to celebrate achievement.

 

We give our students the opportunity to earn special trophies and certificates for passing musical tests, playing recitals and the star student of the month. The smiles of the awardees are priceless!
10. Student Membership

 

We are the only music school in San Diego that offers students’ membership to have free transfer to lessons of a different instrument, free tutor, or free registration for a returning student. It offers student discount on music books, instruments and accessories as well.
11. Early morning and lunch time lessons for home schoolers, retirees, college students and working professionals.

 

We offer lessons as early as 10:00 a.m. and we see many students between the hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are a home school parent, retiree, college student or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunch time lesson spots.
12. Located at Rancho Bernardo in the heart of 4S Ranch.

 

Due to its central location, our school is convenient to all areas of Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquidos, Carmel Valley, Poway and Escondido. Close to our school, you will find great shopping, dining and the quaint neighborhood village of 4S Commons.
13. Month to Month lessons.

 

The school does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.

If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only enjoy teaching students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.

14. Group lessons are available to strengthen and maximize the results of private lesson.

 

We are using the group lesson method to provide sharing, interaction, peer models, team works, social, friendship for your kids’ music growth. These are the benefits that private lessons are unreachable.
